Its that time of the year- the lil baby saplings can come outdoors to face the elements, all by themselves, all day and all night. Seeds (tomato, radish. carrot, cauliflower, eggplant, marigold) were sown about 4-6 weeks back in baby pots and they were nurtured indoors, until this week. With the weather being favorable and 'danger of frost' having gone (well, at least of successive days of frost), this Mother's Day weekend is considered the right time to do so and so we did.
We started the Saturday bright and early, attending the overcorwded Wasatch Community Gardens annual plant sale (see pic) followed by picking up our order from the Salt Lake Conservation District's 1st Annual Native Plant Sale (yumm!).

We already have the 'raised bed' ready for planting and today and tomorrow, I will be busy creating a 'veggie patch' in the backyard. Ruchika is all over the planting and nurturing :) She has found innovative means to re-use old pots/ spaces for the saplings. We are excited and will keep updating these Stories.
